A conversation with Nina Beguš on Artificial Humanities

Artificial Humanities aims to bring literary studies, philosophy, and fiction into the design of artificial intelligence. We spoke with Nina Beguš (UC Berkeley), who developed and named this new theoretical framework: from the Pygmalion myth to language as a spectrum, to the future of writing.

Deckard is a cultural and editorial observatory on the artificial humanities, an interdisciplinary field that studies how AI is reshaping writing, imagination, storytelling and cultural production, and how the humanities can help understand, orient and design these systems.
